Pride of Britain Fund
The Pride of Britain Fund (the Fund) (registered charity number: 258111) was established in 1968 to raise money through newspaper appeals for general charitable purposes. It operates independently of Reach plc and, when required, publishes annual independently examined accounts to allow for full public scrutiny of its work. The Fund’s skilled board of trustees meets quarterly to discuss and approve grants.
The Fund gives grants to projects and individuals identified during the Pride of Britain Awards nomination and research process, and runs grant giveaways on an ad-hoc basis which includes seeking nominations from the public for community groups and organisations throughout the UK. Unsolicited applications for grants will not be considered unless specifically stated in any special promotional activity.

Making a donation to the Fund
The Fund is funded by general donations and legacies. All administrative costs of the Fund are met by Reach plc, meaning every penny donated goes directly to the organisations we support, with no deductions. Donations can be made in the following ways:
– Online through the CAF website here
– By sending a cheque made payable to ‘Pride of Britain Fund’ to the Fund’s administrator
– By setting up a standing order
– By remembering us in your will.
If you are a UK taxpayer, for every pound you donate we can benefit by an extra 25 pence if you fill out a Gift Aid form on our behalf.
