Inspirational anti-violence campaigner Marcia Shakespeare has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at Pride of Birmingham.

 

Powerchair football hero Bradley Addison has won a Child of Courage Award at Pride of Birmingham.

 

When 11-year-old Cody Hartley read about the sudden and tragic death of 12-year-old Oliver King who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during a swimming race she was determined to help raise awareness of the importance of defibrillators in schools.

When we announced our two regional award ceremonies at the start of the year we were inundated with inspirational stories of courage and bravery from Birmingham and across the North East.

Mia is ten years old and lives in Pontypridd where she is a familiar figure in her community due to her amazing commitment to fundraising.
