Lynne and Cheryl set up their Community Corner charity four years ago, which sells donated goods to raise money for worthy causes in South Tyneside. They have been dubbed “angels in the community” as they dedicate their days to making people’s lives better.

Today we arrived at the Park Regis Hotel in Birmingham to greet our esteemed panel comprising of local celebrities Tony Iommi and Jamelia alongside ITV Central newsreader Sameena Ali-Khan, last year’s Lifetime Achievement winner Marcia Shakespeare, paramedic Darren Neeld, Jane Sutton whose inspirational son Stephen captured the nation with his fundraising and bravery, Padraig Carton from our partners TSB, and the Birmingham Mail’s Paul Cole.

We are delighted to announce that our Pride of Birmingham Awards in partnership with TSB are back for 2018 and we need your help to find the most deserving and inspirational people to honour. Whether they have overcome adversity to help others, transformed the lives of people around them or displayed life-saving courage in a split second, they will make you proud to be a Brummie, and we want to hear all about them.

Speaker’s House was our destination today to honour our incredible TSB Community Partner Award finalists.

Today we are delighted to join TSB to unveil their giant billboard honouring our Pride of Birmingham TSB Community Partner winner Randhir Singh Heer.

The Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, is back for the nineteenth year to honor the nation’s unsung heroes and recognise the amazing achievements of ordinary people. 

HenPower was set up by the charity Equal Arts in 2011 with the aim of using hen-keeping to tackle social isolation, reduce depression and improve people’s wellbeing.

Last night celebrities from the world of film, football and TV joined the award winners at the Hogwart-esque Great Hall in the University of Birmingham for the Pride of Birmingham Awards in partnership with TSB.

Prime Minister Theresa May today sent her congratulations to the winners of the Pride of Birmingham Awards.
